Home care, which is what we provide, is non-medical help at home: personal care, company, meals, reminders and getting around safely. Home health is skilled care from nurses or therapists, usually ordered by a doctor and often paid by Medicare. Many families use both at once.

## Does Medicare pay for home care?

Medicare generally does not pay for ongoing non-medical home care. It can cover short-term home health when a doctor orders it.
